The Commonwealth of Virginia Welcomes Digital Mining

This summer, the Government Blockchain Association (GBA), in collaboration with the Virginia Blockchain Council, will present the Government Blockchain Showcase, August 16, in the Fairfax City Old Town Hall.

Why?

Because the Virginia State Senate offers a welcoming environment for blockchain, urging the VA legislature understand the technology, and to implement it for the betterment of the #Commonwealth. This has come with the adoption of Senate Bill #339, which recently passed unanimously claiming bipartisan support.

Bill #339 was introduced by Senators Saddam Azlan Salim, MPA and Chris Head for the purpose of “studying and making recommendations related to #blockchain technology and #cryptocurrency” and seeks to “foster the appropriate expansion of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency in the Commonwealth.”

This bill comes on the heels of the #Bitcoin #Halving which has historically generated sharp increases in the token price. Virginia is serious about welcoming blockchain technology and digital currency and earning their business.
