Preventing Government Fraud, Waste & Abuse with Blockchain
The Government Blockchain Association (GBA), in partnership with the Dynamic Coalition on Blockchain Assurance & Standardization of the United Nations (UN) Internet Governance Forum (IGF), will soon release a groundbreaking report titled “Modernizing Systems with Blockchain to Prevent Fraud, Waste & Abuse in Government.”
This report highlights how blockchain and related technologies can strengthen financial transparency, enhance accountability, and rebuild public trust in government systems. Drawing on real-world examples from across the globe, it demonstrates practical pathways for reducing fraud, waste, and abuse while improving efficiency and oversight.
Before the official publication, GBA members are invited to join the Budget, Accountability & Transparency Working Group and participate as reviewers of the draft report. Members who join will be recognized as official reviewers in the published version.
