DAO Pilot Project To Support United Nations IGF
Empowering Decentralized Governance
The Government Blockchain Association (GBA) DAO Working Group is actively seeking an established decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) platform to pilot as part of an important global standards initiative.
This effort will directly support the Working Group’s forthcoming recommendation to the Dynamic Coalition on Blockchain Assurance and Standardization, an initiative of the United Nations (UN) Internet Governance Forum (IGF). The goal is to evaluate real-world DAO platforms and identify a solution that demonstrates transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in decentralized governance, key principles aligned with both GBA’s mission and the broader objectives of the IGF.
Purpose of the Pilot Program
Evaluating DAO Platforms for Global Standards
The pilot program seeks to identify a DAO platform that can demonstrate practical governance in a multi-stakeholder environment. By assessing security, scalability, and compliance, the program aims to provide a live case study that informs global policy and standards discussions.
This initiative is crucial as it bridges innovation with governance, showcasing how DAO frameworks can support international collaboration and policy development. The insights gained will help shape future blockchain standards and governance frameworks at an international level.

The Critical Role of DAO Platforms
Advancing Global Governance Through Decentralization
In the rapidly evolving landscape of global governance, the identification of reliable and effective decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) platforms is paramount. These platforms are not just technological innovations; they represent a fundamental shift towards more transparent, accountable, and participatory governance models. As governments and international bodies seek to harness the potential of blockchain technology, the ability to evaluate and implement DAO platforms that meet rigorous standards is crucial. By establishing trust and demonstrating efficacy, these platforms can pave the way for new governance frameworks that are both inclusive and resilient, aligning with global public interests and setting the stage for future policy development.
