Joe Walton Discussion Overview

The GBA Symposium on the Future of Money, Governance & the Law will include a discussion about Protecting State and Local Governments and their administrative systems.

As part of that, I will be discussing the benefits of cross-boundary, public blockchains for protecting identities and public records.  Our distributed levels and layers of governance increasingly need cost effective and secure solutions that transcend proprietary brands and are not siloed at any given layer of government.

With distributed database systems like public-sector blockchains, where citizens control selective access to their own data, decentralized governance can continue to thrive and resist U.S. and international trends to federalize or nationalize bureaucracies.
