Government Blockchain Week will be six days of forums, discussions, pitch competitions, a trade show, an Art Show with NFTs, and the Annual Achievement Awards, which will culminate for its’ finale at the US Capitol.

Speakers include Don Tapscott, one of the world’s leading authorities on the impact of technology on business and society. He has authored 16 books, including Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, which has been translated into over 25 languages.

Mr. Tapscott will be joined by Scott Stornetta, one of the founding fathers of blockchain technology. Stornetta co-authored a scholarly work, mentioning blockchain architecture in a 1991 publication. Satoshi Nakamoto’s famous whitepaper, “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” cited Stornetta’s work three times out of the eight references and Satoshi’s paper was built on Stornetta’s concepts about disrupting the fintech industry.
