Call for DAO Applications to Support a UN IGF Dynamic Coalition
The Dynamic Coalition on Blockchain Assurance & Standardization (DC-BAS) of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (UN-IGF), is seeking recommendations for production-ready Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) management platforms.
In 2024, the Dynamic Coalition conducted a DAO pilot; however, the software used did not fully meet the coalition’s operational needs. As we move forward, we are evaluating alternative DAO solutions to support our governance, decision-making, and transparency objectives. We are also planning to expand the GBA Web3 Emerging Technology Directory with DAO Platforms.
We invite individuals and organizations with proven DAO management solutions to submit their recommendations. While we are currently in the discovery phase, identifying potential solutions, we will be drafting a set of requirements and evaluation criteria during our regularly scheduled Monday meetings of the GBA International Organizations Working Group.
How to Contribute
If you have a DAO management platform that could support the DC-BAS governance structure, we encourage you to submit your recommendations via email to IGF-BAS@GBAglobal.org.
Submissions should include:
- Platform Name & Provider
- Overview of Key Features
- Governance & Voting Mechanisms
- Security & Transparency Features
- Existing Use Cases / Case Studies
We are particularly interested in platforms that align with the governance principles outlined in the DC-BAS bylaws, including transparency, decentralization, accountability, and compliance with international governance frameworks.
Your input will help shape the next phase of our Decentralized Autonomous Governance System, ensuring it meets the needs of our diverse, global coalition.
- Deadline for submissions: March 1, 2025
- Contact Email: IGF-BAS@GBAglobal.org
Thank you for your contributions in advancing blockchain assurance and standardization in international governance!
