GBA Board of Directors Elections
The Government Blockchain Association (GBA) is committed to strong, transparent, and member-driven leadership. As outlined in the GBA Bylaws, members of the Board of Directors serve defined terms to ensure both continuity and the regular introduction of new perspectives.
Upcoming Board Elections
Several current Board Members will be completing their four-year terms this year. As a result, GBA will be holding elections this Summer to fill upcoming Board vacancies. This is an important moment for our community. The Board of Directors plays a critical role in:
- Guiding GBA’s strategic direction
- Supporting global collaboration between public and private sectors
- Advancing blockchain solutions for government and public good
As outlined in the (Article IV, Section B), any GBA member may apply to be a Director, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Membership in Good Standing – Must have at least four (4) full years of GBA membership active and in good standing
- Leadership Experience within GBA – Must have completed at least one (1) full year in a GBA leadership role, such as:
- Chapter Leader
- Working Group Leader
- Staff or similar leadership position
- Active Participation in GBA Activities – Must have participated in at least two (2) major GBA events, such as:
- Speaker
- Volunteer
- Organizer or contributor
Each GBA Director serves a four (4) year term. This structure supports consistent governance while creating opportunities for new leaders to contribute to the organization’s mission. Read the Bylaws to learn more about the role.
