GBA and IT-AAC Invite Government Acquisition Professionals to
Help Develop a New Training and Certification Program

Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital assets are changing how government agencies operate. But acquiring these technologies presents new challenges. How can acquisition professionals evaluate unfamiliar solutions, assess risks, and make informed purchasing decisions when technology is changing so rapidly?

The Government Blockchain Association (GBA) and the IT Acquisition Advisory Council (IT-AAC) are working together to address these challenges by developing training and certification programs specifically for government acquisition professionals. A key part of this initiative is the Emerging Technology Acquisition Professional Certification Program, designed to give acquisition officials the knowledge and practical tools needed to evaluate and purchase emerging technologies with confidence.

We Need Your Experience and Expertise

GBA is inviting contracting officers, acquisition specialists, program managers, procurement officials, and other government professionals to help shape this program. You don’t need to be an expert in blockchain, artificial intelligence, or other emerging technologies to participate. Your experience with government acquisition processes is exactly what is needed.

Step 1: Join the Government Blockchain Association – GBA has members in over 500 government offices around the world and offers free membership to eligible government personnel. Membership connects you with a global network of public-sector professionals and emerging technology experts.

Step 2: Join the Acquisition Management Working Group – GBA has more than 50 Working Groups. Once you are a GBA member, you can join the working group to participate in discussions, contribute your experience, and help guide the development of the training and certification program.
