On December 9, 2020, the Department of Defense (DoD) Announced its COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Plan. They will work closely with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to distribute possibly hundreds of millions of COVID-19 vaccines to one of the 64 jurisdictions where the United States government has assigned vaccines. the DoD plans to administer its initial allocation of 43,875 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia, or “the lower 48.”, and then to American Medical Centers on 4 OCONUS (out of the contiguous States), locations in Hawaii, Korea, Germany, and Japan.

Undoubtedly, distributing this vast number of vaccines quickly and efficiently poses a public health logistics and supply chain effort never before seen in the U.S.

On December 16th and 17th, the Government Blockchain Association (GBA) will host two public ZOOM meetings to discuss Blockchain and Logistics on the 16th, and, Blockchain and Supply Chain on the 17th.

Join our knowledgeable speakers; Venkat Kodumundi and Hudson Sutherland from 12-2 PM EST for Logistics on the 16th, and Voruganti Aravind and Silvio Frank Pupo-Casco from 2-4 PM EST for Supply Chain on the 17th.

Blockchain is impacting the supply, movement, tracking, and care of things from point of origin to point of consumption. Learn how this technology affects:

  • COVID-19 supply chain needs for vaccines
  • Digitizing ports and airports for smart cities
  • Experience digitizing the multimodal supply chain
  • Pharmaceutical supply chains
  • Refrigerated supply chain, cold chain
  • Supply chain acquisitions and investments
  • Supply chain stress testing
  • Supply chain technology
  • The evolution of supply chain from 3PL-10PL
  • Tracking and training with FDA

The timing of this presentation could not be more fitting. Ensuring the reasonable and rapid distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to the U.S. population will present an unparalleled challenge. The opportunities provided by blockchain technology have arrived just in time to meet that challenge head-on.

This event is FREE and open to the public, but you must register.
