Podcast
All conference speakers are invited to be interviewed as part of the GBA podcast series, the Future of Money, governance & the Law. We will use these podcasts to promote the speakers, GBA members, and future GBA events. Speakers wishing to be interviewed must sign up and sign the release at www.podtechs.com/gba
What is the general concept of the event?
- This is a symposium. It is intended to be interactive. On Saturday, we will all be together. There are five tracks with five room-moderators (track leaders). The tracks are:
-
- Adoption, Accounting & Global Banking
- Protecting Property, People & Communities
- Service Delivery, Interoperability, and Integrity
- National Security & Competitiveness
- Preparing for the Future
-
- On Saturday, the track leaders will give a brief talk that describes the tracks and promotes the speakers and topics for each track. On Sunday morning we will be meeting in our five break-out tracks. On Sunday afternoon, the Track leaders will brief the whole symposium on the takeaways from each of the tracks.
- The information will be recorded and be used to develop a report called “The Government Blockchain Association’s Report on the Future of Money, Governance & the Law. All participants will be given credit in the report.
- We will also be looking to work with a television production company to turn the report into a video program that will be televised on a major news network.
- Information about the speakers and the event will be recorded via podcasts and distributed before and after the event.
I understand that there are five tracks. If I am speaking in one of the tracks, what kind of attendance can I expect?
- We are shooting for about 300 attendees on-site attendees. Since this is our first event of this nature, we are doing our best to have accurate estimates. We currently have people from these organizations that have committed to attend –> FoMGL Participants and we have had much more express verbal enthusiasm about the event. We expect these participants to grow exponentially.
- Each track will have a camera and recording devices. Your presentations will be live-streamed to virtual conference attendees around the globe. It will also be recorded so that all conference attendees will be able to view all of the presentations in all of the tracks. This way, you will have a smaller number of people specifically interested in your topic. Your information will also be available to all conference attendee inside and outside of the physical room.
What are the facilities like?
- On Saturday, we will have a large multipurpose room available to us with a capacity of about 300 people. We plan to build time into the schedule to allow for networking. We also plan to provide tools for participants to connect, communicate, and collaborate before, during and after the event.
- On Sunday, we will have six large classrooms and networking spaces available for presentations, demonstrations and networking activities. We also have two additional rooms that we can use for speaker prep and logistics. At 3:00 PM, we will gather in the large auditorium and we have that space available until 6:00 PM.
- Lunch will be catered by George Mason University
