Summary of Experience | I have worked in the blockchain and digital assets sector since 2018. I have advised several clients about a variety of issues in the sector. My technologist son and I have co-authored more than a dozen articles published on legal blogs with more than 150,000 reads since 2022. see https://www.braumillerlaw.com/author/james-holbein/ |
Professional Goals & Objectives | The passage of payment stablecoin legislation (the GENIUS Act) and the potential passage of the CLARITY Act this fall will result in a big wave of companies entering the US market in 2026 and 2027. The laws will lead to much needed regulatory certainty and ability to manage the risks of blockchain businesses with complaint, standardized policies. I intend to assist with formation and governance issues for DAOs and DUNAs. I hope to be able to provide responsible advice to policy makers and regulation development so that the rules make sense both for protecting the public, for companies operating under the rules and for regulators to oversee compliance. |
