The Public Fund Distribution Working Group explores trends, technologies, and opportunities to use blockchain technologies to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse in the disbursement of funds to authorized recipients in the most efficient, equitable and reliable manner.
Blockchain technologies can be used to ensure that funds are used by the intended recipients in accordance with legal and regulatory frameworks to ensure that the people who really need the funds get them as soon as possible and those unintended recipients are prevented from receiving public money. This group advocates using this technology to ensure that public money is used for items deemed appropriate in accordance with laws and regulations.
