Colorado Secretary of State Presents at GBA Denver Meeting
The GBA Denver Chapter is pleased to announce that Wayne Williams, Colorado’s Secretary of State, will be the Keynote presenter at our next Meeting in Denver on June 19th.
As some of you may know Colorado is looking at allowing candidates for public office to accept cryptocurrency for campaign contributions. Mr. Williams will be discussing how these draft rules relate policy wise to the Colorado Department of State.
Mr. Williams was elected Colorado’s 38th Secretary of State in 2014. Williams’ commitment to public service and civic engagement began with his service as a full‐time missionary in Alaska, and led him to serve on multiple state and local advisory committees, as a county commissioner, and as a leader in his church community. Prior to his election as Secretary of State, Wayne Williams served as the Clerk of Recorder of El Paso County, the most populous county in the state. During his tenure, Williams was recognized with numerous local and national awards for his work in administering efficient and transparent elections and for making administrative processes easier for citizens and business.
Please let me know if you would like any additional information after the presentation. Thanks! John Carpenter
