GBA PMO Update

The GBA is pleased to highlight the work of the GBA Project Management Office (PMO), a dedicated support function designed to help GBA Working Groups operate effectively, communicate clearly, and deliver meaningful results.

The GBA PMO is led by Bob Miko and supported by Coleman Goodsmith. Together, they provide practical coordination and administrative support to GBA Working Group leaders and members across the organization.

The mission of the PMO is to support GBA Working Groups with the tools, processes, and coordination they need to succeed. This includes assistance with calendars, conference calls, marketing, communications, and other operational needs that help Working Groups stay organized and engaged.

In addition to supporting individual Working Groups, the PMO also helps coordinate cross-Working Group projects. One recent example is the publication of GBA’s report, The Impact of AI, Blockchain, and Quantum on Financial Services, which brought together expertise from across the GBA community.

The PMO also plays an important role in onboarding and training new Working Group leaders. By helping leaders understand GBA processes, communication channels, meeting support, and project coordination resources, the PMO helps ensure that each Working Group is positioned for success.

GBA Working Groups are central to the association’s mission. They bring together government, industry, academic, and nonprofit leaders to explore how emerging technologies can improve public-sector outcomes. The PMO exists to strengthen that work by providing the behind-the-scenes support needed to keep projects moving forward.
