The GBA Legal Working Group develops informational materials and events to help members, policymakers, legal professionals, and industry leaders understand the legal impacts of blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital assets, and related emerging technologies.
From June through October, the Working Group will meet regularly to review and contribute to GBA’s forthcoming report, The Impact of AI, Blockchain, and Quantum on Financial Services. Participants will examine the legal, regulatory, compliance, governance, and policy implications of these technologies and help shape practical insights for the report.
The meetings are open to GBA members and invited participants interested in contributing legal and policy perspectives. Discussions may include digital asset regulation, financial services compliance, smart contracts, data governance, AI accountability, quantum-related security risks, and the evolving responsibilities of institutions operating in emerging technology environments.
The group’s contributions will support the report’s publication during the Future of Money, Governance and the Law event series, taking place September 29–October 2, 2026, on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, and in New York at the United Nations.
